Comments: Driving Rivers in the Andes

Wow--what a trip! Glad you made it safely. Do you think now you'll be bolder in the future or more cautious? Too much boldness might get you in trouble! Next time you might want to play it safe and hang out in the motel watching anything you can find on TV--in whatever language.

I'm reading this from Bangkok, where I am for the AIDS Conference--quite a show it is here, with protesters, elephants, Nelson Mandela, and Kofi Annan. Will send you email with more stories after I get back to the UK.

Take care of you and Claire!

Hey Tones sounds like fun driving. Be careful up there its a long way to the Toyota shop for spares. Whats your schedule now then onto sunny Brazil? By my thumb measurement in our Atlas you've about a thousand kilometers to the border as the crow flies so probably more than a thousand miles on the roads if your avoiding Colombia.

Hows Claire bearing up with all this cross country driving? Well I trust. No real great news here as its July August and Paris in its entirity is on holidays & you can actually get about town very easily, and park!!!!

Drop us a line when you get in front of a PC and take care
